After traveling to Thailand and Myanmar with the Empower team in 2017, Alex got to see firsthand the positive impact Empower creates within their connected communities. With plans to construct schools in neighborhoods that don't have one, he is helping supply resources like uniforms, books, learning materials, and meals for students, and consistent development training for leaders. These communities are improving to the point where neighboring regions have a demand for Empower to support them as well. Alex believes in the changes taking place as they prepare the youth for an expanded, brighter future. He plans to maintain visits to Empower sites as an annual event.

Alex earned a master's degree in sports management from Northeastern University in Boston after receiving his bachelor's degree in sports management from the University of Tampa. Since 2011, Alex has been working at technology solutions provider CDW in a variety of roles, and now serves as the Western Sales Director for the K12 Education segment.
